Avocados and Gray Hair

Yes, you can eat your way to beautiful skin and hair. I believe that what you eat, is equally as important as what you put on your skin and hair. Fruits and vegetables have important vitamins, minerals and fatty acids that help to nourish, restore and repair skin and hair. Many moons ago, a beautiful older woman told me to eat fruits and vegetables of all colors everyday, especially avocados. I was curious as to why she made a point to emphasize avocados. She later explained that avocados are great for the skin and will help to keep the gray away. This women was a true ageless beauty, so I hung onto every word about eating avocados. Needless to say, I started eating avocados and have very little gray. Thank you, Lord! Why do avocados have this impact on hair? Avocados have a component found in melanin that changes hair color, also they have copper and melanocytes which helps to keep the hair from turning gray. So, the next time you are in the grocery store, pick up some avocados and eat your way to beautiful skin and hair.
